FROM AN EMPTY SPACE TO OUR VERY OWN SALON

Every corner has a story.

Before there were mirrors, styling chairs or shelves of products, there was an empty space and a lot of ideas. We wanted somewhere that felt unmistakably ours: warm, welcoming and personal, with enough room for clients to relax and enjoy their appointment.

Desailee and her husband planned the transformation together. With only around two months to get everything ready, and their wedding approaching at the same time, it meant plenty of decisions, late finishes and hands-on work. Slowly, the space began to take shape.

01 / THE TRANSFORMATION

Same space. A completely new feeling.

These views tell the story better than words can. The arched entrance was already there, but the colours, lighting, styling stations and little details gave the salon a new identity.

02 / THE WORK BEHIND IT

Built around a dream.

There were dusty floors, unfinished walls, supplies everywhere and plenty of moments when the salon looked nothing like the finished result. Looking back, those in-between days are part of what makes the space so special to us.

Between choosing finishes, preparing the space and putting everything together, there were plenty of long days and small milestones. Seeing Desailee in the unfinished salon brings back how much went into making this dream a reality.

03 / OUR FAVOURITE DETAILS

Thoughtful touches, everywhere.

We chose a warm palette of browns and terracotta, soft lighting, arched mirrors and subtle gold accents. The wooden slat partition gives the backwash area privacy without making it feel closed off. Behind it, two reclining shampoo chairs create a quieter space to unwind.

A NEW CHAPTER

Finally, home.

On 1 August 2026, Hair by Desailee opened its doors in Qormi. What began as an empty premises became a place where we could welcome our clients, share conversations and do what we love. The finished salon means even more because we remember every step it took to get here.
