A lifelong love for hair, over a decade of experience and a dream that became a salon.
THE PERSON BEHIND THE SALON
It started with a comb.
From picking up a comb as a little girl to building a career spanning more than ten years, Desailee’s passion for hairdressing has always been part of who she is.
Desailee trained at MCAST in Paola from 2016 to 2019, earning her Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing. During those years, she also worked as a junior stylist at Dean Gera Salons from 2017 to 2019. It was there that she discovered the thoughtful details of a luxury salon experience, from welcoming clients and looking after them throughout their visit to hair washing, reception and daily salon responsibilities.
From 2019 to 2024, she worked at Screen Salon in Qormi. Over five years, she grew into a versatile stylist, taking on a wide range of salon responsibilities, caring for clients and helping manage the day-to-day running of the salon. The experience strengthened both her technical skills and her confidence in leading a welcoming, busy salon.
Born in 2000, Desailee took the leap into running her own business at just 25. Hair by Desailee began on 14 November 2025, and on 1 August 2026 she opened the doors to her very own salon in Qormi.
Today, Hair by Desailee brings together experience, creativity and a commitment to continuing to learn. Every client and every appointment is approached with care, conversation and attention to the little details.
Outside the salon, Desailee loves travelling and has always had a soft spot for dancing. Her cheerful nature and infectious laugh are part of the welcoming atmosphere she hopes every client feels when they walk through the door.
